So after alot of death threats about how we don't blog anymore I've decided to post. We have been really busy I mean school got out and we have been having stressful meetings about our screenplay... and the tivo has needed to be cleaned out, so its been busy busy for both of us. But I wanted to post about a little lesson I learned. My friend Matt was moving to Hawaii and I decided to be nice enough to throw a going away party for him on my boat in the backyard. It was a good thought but that night turned into hell on earth. Here's how it played out:
First- Invite a couple of friends to say goodbye and have a fun boat ride around the lake, instead over 18 people piled on the boat to weigh it down
Second- Drive around for over 2 hours on a weighted boat: not a good idea
Third- As we docked the boat we noticed that it started to fill up with water. So I had to do the worst thing and go wake my dad up and tell him the boat is sinking. Lets just say he wasn't in the best of moods that night!
Fourth- After another 2 hours of trying diffrent methods of saving the boat it sank! Like Titanic (it didn't help that my friends started humming Nearer My God to Thee)
Good news is the boat is ok and up and working again, but it will always be a reminder to think logically even in a exciting, fun situation. Yeah this is an embarrissing story, but the Wood Family will always remember the night that our Love Boat sank!

haha. el oh el. i'll always hold that dreadful night near to my heart. (Nearer, my God to thee, nearer, to thee...) sad sad day, but extremely funny.
that poignant event will go down in history textbooks, under, "The Day the LBC Sank the Ship."
hey hil i am diggin the blog btw. let's be bloggin friends. ok? ok. love ya
ha! what a story! thanx for telling it so well. hey nice cut and paste job on the pictures. i mean you cut that picture of frank and i out of its origional context (probably our reaction to a dirty joke) and pasted it where it said that we noticed the boat was sinking. truth: i was saying bye to steph, embracing her like a lover (as always) and i saw and heard the commotion from 82 feet away.
Confession: I've been planning on sinking that boat for years. Also, when all the soda was gone and you wanted some...I planned that too.
Hi there, Devin here, Is that a picture of Spencer Stott I see?
It is spencer stott. Do you know him? Cause he pretty much knows everyone
I'm at work and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying
Spencer stott and I go back a ways. He and I went to GHS tgether and he always wore these fantastically hideous yellow shirts and plaid pants.
I do wish I was there for that experience but mostly so I could see Matthew's sexy body one last time, not to take part in sinking the coolest boat ever! It has lent some good times. I am glad it is back to health! Although this will end up being an insnaely long post, a few things need to be said! 1. Thank you for the lovely afternoon at the beach. It was much needed and it had been way too long? 2. Did you get sunburned because I did and it sucks! Apparently I missed a big spot when I was putting on sunscreen right on my chest! Awesome! 3. The link to the blog of photos that are incredible is http://homepage.mac.com/thepictureshow/iblog/ Hope you are having a great day! Viva la England!
I gave you bad information. Apparently they have a new blog site...so check out both http://www.amelialyon.net/ and http://www.amelialyon.com/ The first is the blog, the second is the website. And the blog address that I gave you in the previous post has Rob and Gretta's engagements and a bunch of other hip photos so it is still worth checking out.
