we survived

we all know that the world has been waiting anxiously to hear about our first day of school.

well friends, you need wait no longer. here it is.

Hilary:

After 2 years of community college, I finally got promoted to go to a unversity level. AS U, or ASU welcomed me today with 2nd hand smoke at 8 in the morning followed by trying to find my classes in a 115 degree weather by 8:10 am, and by 10 walking back to my car I was almost run over by longboarders, and beach cruisers. My math teacher who goes by only "Margie" looks like she got back from traveling with National Geographic photographers. She wore today a bright orange shirt with a moose rowing a canoe, pants that could be made into shorts with only a zipper, and finally the well beloved Teevas on her feet! What a semster it's going to be with Margie. Go Sundevils!


Morgan:

I got flipped off by an old lady on my way to school.

I had to park in a dirt lot on account of there being no available parking spaces.

I was late to class. On my first day of college.

I forgot a pencil. On my first day of college.

I had to sit next to a guy who's teeth were rotting out of his head from all the meth he'd done.



He told me how September 25th is a very important date because that's when he gets off parole.


He used an entire bottle of gel in his hair.

Then we got into a class discussion on sweat shops and he asked me to check the tag of his t-shirt to see where it was made. I told him "thanks, but I'd rather not."

Then he told me he was 28.

The we found out that these were permanent seats and I died a little inside.
